Thanksgiving is a time to consider all the amazing gifts and treasures we are awarded in our lives. It’s a time to be grateful for your home and possessions. A time to show your gratitude for your freedoms and country, for family and friends, for the ability to work and to draw breath… all of these aspects of life are often overlooked with busy life schedules. However on the last Thursday of each November we are each given an opportunity to take a break and remember these things and give thanks.
What are you most thankful for? How do you express your appreciation? Is there something you can do for someone else to act on that gratitude and make the world as a whole a better place? As you ponder these questions from the warmth of your home, consider the many who are not as lucky as you. Can you make a difference in the life of another this Thanksgiving?
Make a conscious effort to go beyond yourself this week and then report back by commenting here. Let’s see what we can do to help the needs in our community by reaching out and lending a hand, especially with our fragile seniors. Together we will make all the difference!
